Chief investigatory administration investigates Ptsichkin's death in jail

The case has been started against the worker of the medical unit in the pre-trial detention center #1 of the Interior Ministry's Correctional Department in Minsk and Minsk region. He is suspected in poor fulfillment of his professional obligations which caused the convict's death. The investigation goes on. Previously, it was conducted by the Investigatory Committee's administration in Minsk.

Disinterment of the deceased's body was conducted due to the necessity for a repeated forensic examination. Experts of the State Committee for court examinations took part in it, BELTA reports.

21-year-old Minsk resident Ihar Ptsichkin was sentenced to 3 months of administrative arrest for driving without a license. He arrived to the pre-trial detention center in Valadarski Street to serve punishment. In literally three days, on August 4, 2013, the youngster died. The relatives did not believe the version of a heart attack as the prison administration claimed. They showed the pictures in which large bruises and injuries are clearly seen on the convict's body, to human rights defenders.
