Dr. Pastnou to resume work in his mental hospital
The doctor has just finished a course of coercive treatment in Vitsebsk Province Psychiatry and Narcology Centre.
Ihar Pastnou has been offered to continue working there, BelaPAN reports. The Vistebsker spent over a month there – he underwent a course of coercive treatment.
Pasntou is on a sick leave now and nobody has fired him. The chief physician has offered him the position of a narcologist.
The Vistebsker underwent a course of coercive treatment in mental hospital after publishing videos where he criticized Vistebsk province healthcare system on the Internet. Pastnou was transferred to day hospital on September 20. He is sure that the coercive treatment was stopped thanks to human rights defenders.
Pastnou is planning to lodge a complaint to the UN Human Rights Committee. He will try to appeal the court’s decision to send him to mental hospital.
