Election results: Another oppositionist elected to village council
Movement For Freedom's activist Aliaksandr Shchamlyou reportedly wins at March 23 local elections.
He has been elected deputy in Dabeiski village council (Schumilin District, Vitsebsk Province).
27 people voted for Shchamlyou, 13 voted for pro-government candidate – director of Amrosavichy school Iryna Matelenak and 4 people voted ‘none of the above’, ruh.by reports.
Three activists of the Fair World became deputies in Orsha District village councils and an activist of the steering committee for the creation of the Belarusian Christian Democracy was elected in Byaroza District village council.
