EU, Belarus ready for ‘temporary’ cooperation
Investments, trade and civil society will be on agenda of the dialogue Belarus and the European Union, says EU official in Minsk.
Head of the Eastern Partnership department of the European External Action Service Dirk Schuebel announced it during his visit to Minsk. According to him, the agreement on “a temporary cooperation stage” was reached during Belarus’ deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna’s recent visit to Brussels.
Belarus and the EU would like to analyze how they can “work on the modernization of Belarus together,” BelaPAN reports.
The dialogue is supposed to start “in the field of investments and trade which is essential both for Belarus and the European Union now,” Dirk Schuebel noted. The social society will also be involved in the European Union’s dialogue with the Belarusian authorities.
