Ex-Ukraine defense minister hiding in Minsk neighborhood - reports
Ex-defense minister Mkhail Yezhel who lost his post as Ukraine's ambassador to Belarus one year ago currently lives in Drazdy, the prestigious neighborhood in Minsk, accordint to the the Ukrainian TV channel ТСН report about the former high-ranking officials under President Yanukovich now facing criminal charges.
Yezhel who has a residence permit in Belarus faces criminal charges under 50 criminal cases in Ukraine. He was put on the wanted list in March this year.
Yet another ex-defense minister Pavel Lebedev, wanted by Ukraine's Office of Military Prosecutor, has settled in the annexed Crimea where ex-health minister Raisa Bogatyreva, ex-MP Vladimir Oleynik and ex-MP from the Party of Regions Vadim Kolesnichenko currently live as well.
Despite the photographs of ex-Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov's villa near Moscow, he also lives in Crimea, according to the TCH report.
Ex-education minister Dmitry Tabachnik and ex-energy and coal industry minister Eduard Stavitski fled to Israel despite the U.S. and EU sanctions. Ex-National Bank chairman Igor Sorkin who took over the post from Sergei Arbuzov lives in Armena where he runs a restaurant business.
Sergei Arbuzov reportedly lives in Moscow and works in the field of science. Ex-Ukraine presideny Viktor Yanukovich settled in the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don. Russian authorities insist the former president has no Russian citizenship.
