5 Lukashenka’s inaugurations: Constitution placed lower every time

Alyaksandr Lukashenka became the Belarusian President 23 years ago, on July 20, 1994. He swore allegiance to the Belarusian people and promised to stick to the legislation of the Republic of Belarus on the Constitution on that day.

Lukashenka has won the presidential election four times since then and swore allegiance holding his hand on the Constitution four times. We have found photos taken at five inauguration ceremonies and noticed an interesting thing: the Constitution is being put lower and lower!

1994– the Constitution with the Pahonya emblem is almost at the level of Lukashenka’s shoulder. 2015 – it is at his waist level!
