Freedom Day organizers: no plans to get to Bangalore Square
In Minsk, on February 3, was held the first meeting of the organizing committee for the celebration of the Freedom Day. It was attended by a representative of the Movement "For Freedom" Ales Lahvinets, chairman of the BPF Party Aliaksei Yanukevich, chairman of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka, chairman of the Movement of Solidarity "Together" Vyachaslau Siuchyk, ex-presidential candidate Mikola Statkevich. It is expected to be joined by other leaders of parties and organizations.
In commentary to the Euroradio Anatol Lyabedzka said that it is planned to file the application for the Freedom Day celebration on the evening of March 25. This, incidentally, is Friday.
According to the politician, the organizing committee is not planning to take protesters to Bangalore Square.
Lyabedzka: "I must say that the Bangalore Square is not being considered as a potential place of interest. Different options are being discussed -- in the space from October Square to the Academy of Sciences."
Lyabedzka said that the exact place of the rally will be coordinated with the authorities.
