Frontier guards check videos of ‘ATO fighter’ crossing Belarusian border
The State Border Committee is checking whether the ATO participant detained at Minsk railway station had weapons on him when crossing the Belarusian border. Frontier guards are watching videos of his arrival in Belarus.
Head of the State Border Committee Leanid Maltsau commented on the issue on December 17:
Maltsau: "We have checked all the available videos – he was searched. But it depends on how narrow the search was… When the investigation is over, we will learn all the details and take the corresponding measures.”
An armed young man was detained at Minsk railway station on November 26. He had a gun and a self-made blasting assembly on him. The man turned out to be a Belarusian who had taken part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in Ukraine. He is 28 years old and was a member of the Right Sector, some sources reported.
