Heads of EP delegation for relations with Belarus to be elected on Monday
The EP delegation members will gather on October 13, Swedish MEP Christofer Fjellner told BelaPAN.
The head and deputy head of the delegation will be elected, he said.
New members were elected by the European Parliament at a plenary session in Strasbourg on July 17. The delegation consists of Polish, Swedish, Latvian, Lithuania and Italian MEPs.
The EP delegation for relations with Belarus was created over 10 years ago. The official Belarusian authorities did not use to contact with it. However, Belarusian deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Alena Kupchyna met ex-head of the delegation Filip Kaczmarek in January. The relations of the official Minsk with the European Parliament were discussed back then. No details of the discussion were reported.
