Injured Libyans receive treatment in Belarus
300 people have been sent for medical treatment to Belarus recently, Libya Herald reports.
The newspaper referred to Belarusian ambassador Alyaksandr Stsepus.
About 1500 people have received treatment in Belarus since the beginning of the armed conflict between insurgents and pro-Muammar Gaddafi forces, the newspaper reports. It is not clear to what side the injured Libyans belonged.
Information about the official Minsk helping the Gaddafi regime have already appeared in Libyan and international mass media before, Charter’97 noted. A Libyan plane was noticed in the National Airport Minsk in November 2011. It was not clear what passengers or cargo it had brought. Tripoli Military Court imprisoned 3 Belarusian citizens for helping the Gaddafi regime for 10 years on June 4, 2012.
