Interpol issues warrant for BPC's Russian top managers

Employees of the Belarusian Potash Company Oleg Petrov (Member of the Supervising Council), Konstantin Solodovnikov (First Deputy CEO), Igor Evstratov (Deputy CEO on Finance) and Dmitry Samoilov (Head of Freight Department) have been put on the wanted list.

Uralkali CEO Vladislav Baumgertner was detained in Minsk airport on Monday after the meeting with PM Mikhail Myasnikovich. Uralkali CEO caused damage to Belarus’ national interests, the spokesman for Belarusian Investigatory Committee said. Vladislav Baumgertner was accused of power abuse. He faces up to 10 years of imprisonment with property confiscation. The Investigatory Committee has informed that the material loss in the case of the Belarusian Potash Company is estimated as $ 100 million.


 

Vladislav Baumgertner is also a Chairman of the Supervising Council of the Belarusian Potash Company. Yesterday, a number of BPC top managers were put on the wanted list, also via Interpol.
