Karatkevich to appeal election results in Supreme Court
Presidential candidate Tatsiana Karatkevich and her camp will appeal the results of this year's presidential elections in the Supreme Court, campaign chief Andrei Dzmitryeu told reporters on October 12.
Karatkevich's team plans to use evidence gathered by the Right to Choose 2015 campaign.
Andrei Dzmitryeu: "We will use the facts collected by observers from all political parties and movements as well as human rights defenders in order to appeal the results. It does not matter what the court's verdict will be. It is important to show people that we are fighting for our votes."
Right to Choose campaign coordinator Dzianis Sadouski described the elections as non-transparent and undemocratic. He pointed to the facts of turnout exaggeration and voting 'carousels".
Politicians Aliaksei Yanukevich (Party of Belarusian Popular Front) and Vital Rymasheuski (Belarusian Christian Democracy) also stated they did not recognize the election results.
