Lukashenka: Free rouble exchange rate in mid September
Foreign currency will be sold to you only if you show your passport in October. The information about buyers will be added to a special data base.
According to Alyaksandr Lukashenka, an additional session will be opened at the stock exchange. The Belarusian rouble exchange rate will be defined by the supply and demand. It will open between September 12 and 15, report information agencies.
It will be possible to buy and sell dollars, euro, Russian roubles and other foreign currencies there, says Lukashenka. Meanwhile, the main session will be used only to pay for gas and energy and for other urgent payments. In connection with it, the state leader claims that he has signed a decree cancelling “all obligatory foreign currency trade benefits”.
At the same time, you will need your passport to buy foreign currency in October. Alyaksandr Lukashenka has given the order to the National Bank. According to him, an electronic foreign currency trade system will be introduced on October, informs BelTA.
Foreign currency will be sold only if you show your passport. Information about every buyer will be added to the electronic system. According to Lukashenka, “the exchange rate will become stable as soon as people grab as much foreign currency as they like”. The Belarusian leader is sure that the process of establishment of the single exchange rate will not take much time.
