Lukashenka: New stage starts in my life

Alyaksandr Lukashenka met with President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber Christoph Leitl and Second President of the Austrian National Council Karlheinz Kopf on Tuesday, October 13. They discussed the Austrian credits and investments that could help modernize Belarusian enterprises and the two states’ future relations. He decided to meet with the Austrian guests right after the presidential election for a reason, Lukashenka said.

"A new stage is starting in my life and in the life of our society. It is still necessary to comprehend it,” BELTA quotes the state leader.

“There seems to be a warming in our relations with the European Union and with some EU member states,” Alyaksandr Lukashenka noted. The EU made the first step on the way to lifting the sanctions and is hoping that it will only be the beginning, the Austrian guests said. ‘A new era’ is starting in Belarus-EU relations, Karlheinz Kopf believes.
