Margaret Thatcher's funeral date announced

"The funeral of Mrs. Thatcher will take place on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in St. Paul's Cathedral," PM David Cameron announced in his message .

Margaret Thatcher's funeral will not have the status of the state funeral. But it will be held in line with all the ceremonies ceremonies conducted during Princess Diana's funeral.

Margaret Thatcher died of stroke yesterday. She was 87. She was the first and only woman so far to head the British government for 11 years - from 1979 till 1990. She was nicknamed "Iron Lady" during her time in office.
