Minimum subsistence wage at Br 1.7 million from May 1
Starting from May 1, a new minimum subsistence wage in Belarus will be 1 million 699.4 thousand rubles on average per capita. The relevant decision was made in accordance with the Decree of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security #18 dated 21 April. The document was published by the National Legal Internet Portal on April 29.
Former figure was 1.64 million rubles. the new one will grow 3.6% and will be valid until June 30 this year.
The change will entail an increase in minimum labor and social pensions and state allowances to families raising children, as well as some other benefits.
