MFA: Complete cancellation of sanctions would help Belarus-USA relations more

If the United States had cancelled all the sanctions, it would have helped promote Belarus-US relations more, MFA spokesman Dzmitry Mironchyk said.

“This decision has created certain conditions for the further development of Belarus-US relations. The compete cancellation of the sanctions would help develop cooperation with the United States more,” TASS quotes Mironchyk as saying.

The United States relieved the sanctions imposed on the Belarusian Oil House, Belneftekhim concern, Belneftekhim USA Inc., the plants Belshyna, Grodno Azot, Grodno Khimvolokno, Naftan, Lakafarba and Polotsk-Khimvolokno on October 29. Their property is still frozen but transactions have been allowed.

The European Union also suspended the sanctions imposed on 171 Belarusian citizens and 14 companies on October 29.
