Minister of Trade promises no jump in prices
There will be no jump in prices in Belarus, Minister of Trade Uladzimir Kaltovich announced on Belarus 1.
Our country has been liberalizing the pricing for a long time, he said. The prices have not been regulated by the state in Belarus since January 2016.
There is only one way of price regulation now – a moratorium on price growth for certain goods for up to 90 days, Kaltovich noted. “These decisions will be based on the monitoring of the situation. They can be made by the Council of Ministers,” the official explained.
The prices for food and industrial goods slightly increased in January 2016, the Minister said.
