Ministry of Trade interested in Belarusians’ purchases in foreign shops
Officials have promised not to ban online purchases but they want ‘to adjust’ them.
Belarusians’ purchases in foreign online shops are going ‘to be adjusted’, Minister of Trade Valyantsin Chekanau claimed on March 24. He assured: nobody will forbid Belarusians to make purchases in foreign online shops but ‘some legal acts are going to be introduced’. It will be done ‘to adjust this trade’. The Ministry of Trade has already made some steps in this direction, BELTA reports.
Foreign Internet shops take part of Belarusian producers’ turnout, the Minister said. Chekanau mentioned the Belarusian light industry that is unable to compete with foreign producers at the moment. Alyaksandr Lukashenka mentioned the problems of the domestic light industry during his recent visit to the trade centre Expobel in Minsk.
