Minsk region leader in wage arrears
At the same time, Brest region is free from companies in debt.
National Statistical Committee has published data on wage arrears as of August 1, 2015.
In total, there are 464 companies and organizations in Belarus that have not fully paid wages to their workers. The amount of debt has amounted to almost 331 billion rubles.
The greatest debt is seen in the Minsk region - 211 companies, 141 billion 290 million rubles. In second place comes Vitsebsk - 192 organizations, 126 billion 267.6 million rubles. Hrodna region has 31 debtor organization and almost 25 billion rubles of debt, Mahiliou has 20 companies and 15.4 billion. In Minsk there are 6 companies that still owe their workers about 19.5 billion rubles, and in the Homiel oblast - 4 companies and 3.6 billion debt.
This indicator looks best in Brest region, where all businesses have paid to their employees.
