Missing general Yury Zakharanka's portrait in Minsk - photo
A portrait of General Yury Zakharanka reading "We Remember" appeared near the memorial sign in Minsk to the police officers who perished on duty, writes on his Facebook account Maksim Vinyarski. 17 years ago on May 7, Yury Zakharanka, an opposition leader and former Interior Minister went missing without a trace. Investgation in progress as of writing is yet to identify the kidnappers. Unofficial reports suggested the so called "death squads" were behind the kidnapping of Yury Zakharanka.
