Mother of 7 suspected of treason released in Russia
Svetlana Davydova has left Moscow and is heading to her family’s house in the Smolensk region.
Mother of many children, Svetlana Davudova from Vyazma, was accused of treason in Russia. However, she was let off on February 3. Her measure of detention was changed, Davydova left the detention centre in Moscow and left for Vyazma on Tuesday evening.
"I still do not understand what is going on. Everything is so strange. I did not expect it… I want to see my children. I have been thinking about them all the time,” Davydova told Kommersant. She thanked everyone for their support.
The release may be connected with the publicity of the case, lawyers think. Over 40 thousand signatures in the woman’s support were sent to the Russian President’s Administration.
The mother of many children was detained on suspicion of treason on January 21. Svyatlana Davydava was accused to presenting information about Russian troops that could possibly be sent to Donetsk to the Ukrainian Embassy. She learnt the information from a soldier.
Svyatlana has 7 children: three of them are hers and four are her husband’s children by his first marriage.
