National Bank refuses to name country that printed Belarusian money
The new Belarusian money was made by a European mint, the National Bank announced.
"We selected it with the help of a tender but we cannot tell you what mint made the money. We can only say that it is a trustworthy mint,” deputy head of the National bank Dzmitry Lapko said at a press conference on Thursday.
No money will be spent on the production of new banknotes, he added. Everything was done in 2009. However, it will be necessary to change automatic cash terminals, etc. Enterprises will have to spend their own money on it. However, the expenses are not going to be huge, the National Bank believes.
