Next Belarus census planned for 2020
The Eurasian Economic Commission (EaEC) has decided to take population censuses in the EaEC member states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) in 2020, the organization’s press service reports.
The participants of the EaEC meetings have approved the project of preparation for censuses.
The plan will be created to coordinate the cooperation of all statistics gathering institutions, the EaEC noted.
The EaEC ‘will not replace the activity of the local governments in the population census’ and the decisions on programs and dates will be made ‘by national governments’.
