Office of Public Prosecutor has not found out who to blame for “Pinsk Wood”

Five people have already died because of the explosion and fire at “Pinsk Wood”. Seven other factory workers are in the reanimation department in a very serious condition. On the whole, there are 15 people in Minsk, Brest and Pinsk hospitals.

Those who are in the reanimation department are in a very serious condition. It is difficult to comment on their chances. They have severe injuries and burns, so it is very difficult to predict anything. All of those who are in the reanimation department have burns on more than 50% of their skin” — said the deputy chief physician of Minsk Emergency Hospital Ihar Shymanski to ERB.
There are nine people in the capital now. Doctors say the 6 of them are in a very serious condition. Doctors are trying to save the lives of five more people in Brest hospital. They cannot make any forecasts.

“I cannot predict anything. The state is serious, very serious”, - said the deputy chief physician Tadevush Herasimchyk.

There is one victim in Pinsk Central Hospital now. A “Pinsk Wood” employee from the neuro-surgical department has been discharged today, said the chief physician Victar Asachuk.

Victar Asachuk: “One patient died yesterday. We had three patients yesterday. The woman from the neuro-surgical department has been discharged from hospital in a satisfactory state. She does not need medical assistance anymore”.
Unfortunately, the remaining man is in a very serious condition, continued the doctor.

“To tell the truth, the state is extremely serious. We are doing everything to give him a chance but we are not gods”.

The regional Office of the Public Prosecutor has informed an ERB reporter that the suspects have not been found yet; a check-up is being conducted and experts are working on the spot of the incident, said an investigator of the most important cases Alyaksandr Shastachuk.

Alyaksandr Shastachuk: “Speaking about the reason for the fire – nothing is clear yet. A commission is working, experts and specialists are on the spot. The only thing we have is the number of victims. Five people have already died”.
Let us remind you that the fire and explosion at “Pinsk Wood” occurred on October 25. According to the preliminary version, the reason for the fire was “an explosion of wood dust as a result of violation of the rules of exploitation of wood pellets production equipment”.
