An oil drilling platform belonging to the company Pemex has caught fire in the Gulf of Mexico. 300 workers have been evacuated. About 50 people have been injured by the fire. One person has died, unofficial sources report. The information has not been officially confirmed yet.
Eight ships are putting out the fire.
The incident occurred near the biggest Mexican oil deposit in the Bay of Campeche.
