Paratroopers defend Kharkiv from pro-Russia militants
Ukrainian paratroopers are in operational readiness near a roadblock at the border of Kharkiv and Donetsk Oblasts.
The paratroopers are to help ‘the other power structures to keep the order and resist attacks of armed people from Donetsk Oblast’, RBK reports. The soldiers are fully equipped and provided with military machines.
The roadblock is at some distance from Sloviansk, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense notes. It means that ‘aggressive people’ may try to enter Kharkiv Oblast from there.
It is fairly quiet in the east of Ukraine now. The Ukrainian Army is not taking any active measures. Separatists in Kramatorsk and Sloviansk are getting ready for possible army attacks and reinforcing barricades.
