Participants of Cossack horse march Moscow - Berlin detained in Belarus
Three Russians spent two days in a temporary detention center of Pinsk as suspects.
Belarusian police has detained three members of horse campaign Moscow - Berlin. For two days the Russians were held in the temporary detention of Pinsk city police department as suspects, and on the third day (July 10) all of them were formally charged with hooliganism. Pinsk district prosecutor's office sanctioned their arrest for two months for the period of investigation, the newspaper Vecherni Brest (Evening Brest) reports.
The three citizens of Russia, one of them a minor got drunk and beat a young man who lives in a dormitory of the Pinsk agro-technological college in the village Haleva. They also damaged the refrigerator, doors and smashed a glass vase.
Local authorities provided the horse campaign participants with an entire floor to live in the dormitory of the college. The victim lives on another floor. The visitors came to his room and beat him. The cause for the conflict allegedly was his friendship with the girl, with whom the Russians met on their first day in the hostel.
The organizers of the campaign and its participants condemned the misconduct of their three companions. They were stripped of all awards received during the expedition.
