The Police’s reunion set to become a success
The rockers had to add up several more concerts to the already confirmed schedule of their summer tour across the North America to satisfy the demand.
The tickets for the band’s four concerts in late July in Canada were sold out within a matter of hours. Sting and Co. had nothing left but to agree to play two additional concerts on July 26 in Montreal and on July 30 in Vancouver.
Similar frenzy was observed in the U.S. The tickets for The Police’s show in the Madison Square Garden in New York on August 1 and August 3 were sold out even faster: within several minutes. According to Arthur Fogel, the director of the TNA International agency, they knew that there would be a great demand, “but it is pleasant to see that the reality has exceeded all our expectations.”
Additional concerts will also take place in New York, Boston and Los Angeles. 7 extra shows have been added to the initial schedule, thus making a total of 21 performances of The Police in Canada and the U.S.
The reunion tour of The Police is to begin on May 28 in Vancouver and to end with a concert in East-Roserford, N.J.
Sting and his band-mates are expected to please their European fans at the end of this year.
