Putin: Chavez was a strong person who looked to the future
Russia's President expressed his condolences to Venezelan Vice-president Nicolas Maduro and the people due to Hugo Chavez' death.
Vladimir Putin called Chavez an outstanding leader and a close friend of Russia.
"He was an extraordinary and strong person, who looked into the future and always set the highest hurdle for himself," - RIA Novosti quotes Putin.
