The Belarusian ex-presidential candidate has returned home from prison. About 50 people met him near the railway terminal.
Belarusian ex-presidential candidate Andrei Sannikau returned home on Sunday night. He met his colleagues and journalists near the railway terminal at about 2 a.m. Sannikau did not say much. “I still do not understand where I am. I would like to have a rest. The main goal is releasing the other political prisoners now”, - he said to the present.
The ex-candidate looked very tired and happy at the same time. It was difficult to recognize him - - people were used to see Sannikau with a beard but he had shaved it off in colony.
The meeting near the railway terminal did not last longer than 5 minutes. Andrei Sannikau went home afterwards. His wife Iryna Halip was waiting for him there. Unlike the other ex-candidate’s relatives, she could not come to the railway terminal. Halip must stay at home after 10 p.m.
Dozens of people came to Railway Square to meet Andrei Sannikau.
