Barys Svyatlou appointed as Minister of Culture
He used to be the rector of the Belarusian State Culture and Arts University.
Alyaksandr Lukashenka signed a corresponding decision today, informs BELTA. The position of a Minister of Culture has been vacant for several weeks after Pavel Latushka retired and left for France as a Belarusian Ambassador.
The new Minister is 54. In 1990-1991 he was an assistant of the BSSR Minister of Culture, and then - a Deputy Minister of Culture of Belarus till 1994.
