Belarus condemns North Korea nuclear tests
On February 12 the Democratic People's Republic of Korea carried the third nuclear test
Belarus strongly condemned
this action, states the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The statement says that
North Korea violated a series of resolutions of the UN Security Council,
including the recent resolution 2087, adopted this year. "This action by DPRK provides a serious threat to the world and security in the North-East
Asia and outside it," the state news agency BELTA quotes the statement.
Belarus suggested that North Korea get back immediately to the legal
field and grant fulfillment of the Agreement on non-proliferation of nuclear
weapons and corresponding resolutions of the UN Security Council. Belarus also proposed to DPRK to join the Agreement on universal prohibition of nuclear
tests.
