Belarusian wins marathon dedicated to Polish rebellion (photo)
Hrodna inhabitant Halina Karnatsevich won the XVIII "Solidarity" marathon, which took place in Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk.
It took the Belarusian nearly 3 hours to cover the distance of 42 kilometers 195 meters, informs the web-site of the trade union "Solidarity".

people from 16 countries of the world took part in the event. A sportsman from
Kenya won the men's race.
The marathon is dedicated to the anniversary of the strike of workers at the
Gdansk dockyard in 1970. More than 40 people were
killed by police in order to suppress the rebellion then.
