Br2 million fine for "appeals for economic sanctions"
Former presidential candidate and ex-political prisoner Dzmitry Us has been fined for this sum.
The sentence has probably been pronounced in his absence. Minsk Lenin District Court informed Us about the fine "for appeals for economic sanctions" on July 24, informs "Nasha Niva".
Let us remind you that Dzmitry Us asked the European Union to consider imposing sanctions on the Belarusian authorities twice in spring. He thought that the sanctions could result in quick economic and political reforms, changes in the field of human rights and liberalization of the Election Code.
Politician Victar Ivashkevich was fined for appeals for sanctions for 500 thousand roubles in May.
