Czech Republic recalls ambassador from Minsk for consultations
Czech MFA's statement late on February 28 regrets ambassador withdrawal from Belarus.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic regrets the decision adopted by the Belarusian Foreign Ministry to recall the Ambassador to Poland and Permanent Representative to the European Union to Minsk for consultations and to recommend to the Ambassador of the European Union and the Ambassador of Poland in Minsk to do the same.
The Czech Foreign Ministry is convinced that this step will further alienate the Republic of Belarus and the European Union.
In
this regard and in line with the solidarity within and the common
position of the European Union, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the
Czech Republic decided to recall Mr. Jiří Karas, Ambassador
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Belarus, to
Prague for consultations - Czech Foreign Ministry.
