Diplomats of Poland and Ukraine play Euro-2012 in Minsk
The Ambassadors' teams finished the game in peace — 1:1 draw.
The match was aimed to coincide with the beginning of the European Championship which will take place this year in two countries - Poland and Ukraine. The Ambassadors headed their teams. From Ukraine's side - Victor Tykhonov, from Poland's side - Leszek Szerepka. However, the Ukrainian diplomat did not take a risk to come out to the field. He said in a conversation with Euroradio that the reason for that was his age (he is 62). As for 40-year-old Szerepka, he played as a real forward. He did not score but he created enough dangerous moments and even got a minor injury.
The game ended with a diplomatic score - 1:1. The guard of the Polish Embassy scored in the first half, and the Ukrainians equalized in the second half.
