European ministers discuss Sannikau's release in Twitter
Bildt and Sikorski welcomed release of the Belarusian ex-presidential candidate, while MEP Lisek urged "not to forget about the others" (photo).
Sweden Foreign Minister Carl Bildt posted in his Twitter about Andrei Sannikau's release in the evening on April 14:
Carl Bildt: “I welcome that prominent Belarus opposition politician Andrei Sannikov has been released from prison today”.
Several minuted later, his colleague Poland's Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski supported him:
Radosław Sikorski: "Indeed. We will continue the policy of conditionality: less4less,more4more. Democratization BY's road to full dialogue with EU".
Polish MEP Krzysztof Lisek joined the conversation soon :
Krzysztof Lisek: “This is good news, Mr. Minister. But we shouldn't forget about others. And about democracy and human rights in Belarus in general”.
