"Hapoel" players train in Freedom Square
While part of the team jumped on the grass with a ball, others went shopping.
"Hapoel" captain Adrian Rochet, whom Euroradio met near the hotel "Europe", has told that "Hapoel" players conducted this training due to their own initiative. He did not go to train and went shopping instead together with his friends.
"We bought something at Nike and Adidas. Sports clothes, boots. You've got the same prices as in Israel. However, why do you need so many zeros on your money? ― Adrian Rochet says. ― The whole Minsk knows there's football tonight, but no one practically talks to us, although "Hapoel" players can be easily recognized by their jerseys. Probably this is because no one speaks English. However, we gave a couple of autographs near McDonald’s".
Adrian Rochet adds that "Hapoel" watched BATE's games against "Vardar" and "Debreceni" attentively.
Adrian Rochet: "We know how they play, the system. In my opinion, the most important thing today is to score at least once. I hope that we will win but this is not a principle, it is more important to score a goal".
Let us remind you, the first play-off game of the Champions' League qualification between BATE and Hapoel Kiryat Shmona will take place at "Dynama" stadium in Minsk on August 22, kick-off at 21:45.
