Lithuanian MFA: Belarus should not be excluded from Eastern Partnership
Audronius Ažubalis made this statement on August 23.
An annual meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Germany is taking place in Riga today. Among other issues, the participants of the meeting discussed economic cooperation between the European Union and its Eastern neighbours, informs the web-site baltic-course.com.
According to Ažubalis , although Belarus chose the way of self-isolation, it should not be crossed out of the EU program "Eastern Partnership". In the opinion of the Lithuanian politician, Belarusian people will be left without a European perspective if Belarus stops participation in the "Eastern Partnership".
Ažubalis also invited his colleagues from Germany and the Baltic states to take part in the third summit of the Eastern partnership, which is to take place in Vilnius in Autumn-2013.
