Marek Bućko: Blast to distract attention from economic problems
A Polish expert, representative of Freedom and Democracy Foundation Marek Bućko has said this.
According to him, dramatic decrease of the people's financial conditions could be observed in Belarus recently.
"There's lack of dollars in the country, people storm the currency exchange offices. Prices for food grow hour by hour. An economic collapse is obvious, and I think this blast will distract the people's attention from what is happening to the Belarusian economy nowadays", - he said.
Buchko has underlined that it is in the authorities' interests to proclaim the opposition guilty in this incident, dependless on the real reasons. "There have been signals from the people I know in Belarus that people start making claims against the opposition. Common people say "Look what your opposition is doing". This is the effect of the propaganda, which accused the opposition of terrorism, force actions and willingness to conduct a state takeover. This blast fits the scenario well", - he said, the IAR news agency reports.
