Minsk City Court has not changed Dashkevich and Lobau’s sentences

“Young Front” members’ lawyers claimed that the guys were innocent, that the sentence was biased and that there was abuse of process during the trial. The lawyers asked to recall all the three sentences.


However, the court has taken the prosecutor’s side and has not changed the sentences, informs the human rights centre “Vyasna”.


Let us remind you that Zmitser Dashkevich and Edward Lobau were detained on the eve of the presidential election in December 2010. They were accused of a street fight. Dashkevich was imprisoned for two years in a minimum security colony. Lobau was sentenced to four years in a top security colony.
