“New” exchange rate: Belarusian average wage totals $182
The average scholarship is about 22 dollars and the Presidential student’s scholarship totals 35 dollars now.
According to the exchange rate of 8600 roubles, the average wage in Belarus totalled 182 dollars in the first half of the year (according to Belstat, it was 1 million 564500 roubles). The average pension in that period was 600 thousand 400 roubles or 70 dollars according to “the new exchange rate”.
The minimal scholarship in the Belarusian State University totals 193 248 roubles or 22.5 dollars. The presidential scholarship is 300 900 – 35 dollars.
Let us remind you that, according to the official exchange rate of the National Bank, the average wage calculated in dollars was 160 USD in 2004 and 215 – in 2005.
