Chinese writer Mo Yan wins Nobel Prize for Literature
Japanese Hariki Murakami, Hungarian Peter Nadash, Irishman William Trevor, Canadian Alice Munro and others were among the nominees.
Mo Yan is the pseudonym used by the Chinese writer. It means "be silent". His real name is Guan Moye.
Winners in each nomination get 1.2 million dollars this year. The award ceremony will take place in Stockholm on December 10.
