Photo-correspondent Julia Darashkevich released without charges
Julia has told on air to Euroradio that spokesman of Minsk police Aliaksandr Lastouski came to release her from the October district police department.
Julia Darashkevich: "I felt the tear gas, my throat went sore, I coughed severely. I was detained together with others, people were lying on the floor in the police van, detentions were very brutal. Then the spokesman of the city administration of internal affairs Mr. Lastouski arrived, and they released me. This has become a good tradition - at first they detain journalists, break their equipment, and then Mr. Lastouski arrives, a man in white, and solves the matter. A photo-correspondent Aliaksandr Barazenka was there together with me, he showed me a piece of his broken camera. He was detained really brutally. I did not recognize anyone else, there were several dozens of detainees, they stood in a line".
