Syarhei Kavalenka stopped hunger-strike
The political prisoner has started eating.
Radio Liberty informs about it referring to his father, Alyaksandr Kavalenka. He has visited his son in Navinki mental hospital today, on April 13.
According to the father, the political prisoner has started drinking juice and eating. He does not need a dropper and no stomach pump is used anymore.
Let us remind you that Syarhei Kavalenka was sentenced to 25 months of imprisonment for violating “the home penal labour regime”. He was sentenced to it for having hoisted a white-red-white flag on Vitebsk’s main New Year’s Tree. Kavalenka went on hunger-strike after the arrest on December 19.
Doctors decided to send the political prisoner to a mental expertise.
