Today's anniversary of Smalensk tragedy
96 Poles, including the President Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria, died near Smolensk on April 10, 2010.
The air crash took away the lives of 89 well-known Polish politicians, almost all military chiefs, civil and religious figures, and 7 members of the jet's crew.
Polish delegation was heading for Russia with a private visit, to attend mourning events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of mass shooting of Polish officers in Katyn forest.
The relatives of the deceased visited the tragedy site yesterday, before the anniversary of the tragedy. They prayed and put flowers to the memorial crosses.
