Unemployment in euro zone reaches record level
Accoring to Eurostat's information, it has made 10,8% of active population. This is an absolute record for the whole history of the community.
The number of the unemployed in the 17 euro zone countries increased by 162 thousand people and reached 17 million 13 thousand people in February. The level of unemployment has surpassed the critical line of 10% for ten months already. In 27 EU countries, it makes 10,2%. The most difficult situation is in Spain — 23,6% and Greece — 21%. The best situation is in Austria — 4,2%, the Netherlands — 4,6%, Luxembourg — 5,2%, and Germany — 5,7%, ITAR-TASS informs.
