Victar Ivashkevich fined for Br 500 thousand
The Soviet district court of Minsk has taken such decision on the claim of employee of Mazyr OPP Maryna Tsyblienka.
The reason for the claim was Ivashkevich's appeal to the European companies to boycott Belarusian oil products. Tsyblienka (in the photo) decided to make Ivashkevich pay Br 500 thousand as moral compensation.
Maryna Tsyblienka has informed to Euroradio after the sentence has been pronounced that she will send the money to the Red Cross in Mazyr. She has also noted that it is important for her that Ivashkevich should "refute his statement in the Internet" and stop appealing for sanctions. Let us note that the court has obliged Ivashkevich to refute his statement published by the web-site Charter'97. The politician said before the trial that he was not going to retreat from his position".
