Rio airport workers strike ahead of World Cup
Rio de Janeiro Airport workers announce a 24-hour strike over low wages.
The action will continue on the day of the World Cup opening ceremony.
They want their wages increased. The workers also demand a special World Cup bonus. The strike may disrupt a number of events although the World Cup opening and the first match will be held in São Paulo, BBC reports.
Meanwhile, São Paulo metro workers have not decided yet whether to resume their strike on Thursday. If they do it, the World Cup opening ceremony may be disrupted.
